2025 Annual LRRC Summer Track Series: A Record-Breaking Season

The 33rd Annual LRRC Summer Track Series was truly one for the record books, with record-setting performances and our highest attendance yet. Here are some key highlights from an unforgettable summer of racing.

Our youngest participants once again stole the show in the 100-meter dash for ages 4 & under, which proved so popular that we often ran four heats to accommodate all the runners. The energy and enthusiasm from families and spectators brought incredible spirit to each meet.

While the June 24th meet was postponed to July 1st due to extreme heat, we were able to hold a full schedule of events despite nearby thunderstorms. That night featured Elite Men’s and Women’s 800m and 1500m races, with appearances from NCAA champions and All-Americans—delivering thrilling performances for everyone in attendance.

We’re proud to announce four new LRRC Summer Track Series records:

  • Men’s 400m – Michael Hamm, 49.50

  • Women’s 800m – Lyndsey Butler, 2:01.02

  • Men’s 1500m – George Couttie, 3:39.38

  • Women’s 1500m – Rachel McArthur, 4:06.08

Race ribbons will be available for pickup at Riverside Runners beginning July 7. They are organized alphabetically—please be courteous when retrieving yours.

Meet results are available online. You’ll be able to review results by heat and age group for each night, making it easy to track your progress and compare performances throughout the series.

JUNE 30: Make-up Date in Case of Cancellation

A single registration covers your participation for the entire series—no need to sign up each week. After your first race, we'll securely store your bib until the series concludes, so you won't need to remember to bring it each time. To ensure a smooth check-in process, we strongly encourage participants to register in advance. Day-of registration can be challenging due to spotty cell service at the track.

Water coolers will be available throughout the evening to help keep everyone refreshed. To stay cool, hydrated, and support our efforts to reduce waste, we strongly encourage all participants to bring their own refillable water bottles. A limited number of disposable cups will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
